Just Purchased!!!

Another gorgeous old stone home is about to be loved by an amazing couple.

We started our search in Essa, then in Caledon but ended up finding THE ONE in the Cambridge area.

The home, the barn AND the property are simply stunning and I couldn’t be happier for them. Be sure to follow Karyna at and Francois . They both have amazing businesses and are going places.

I can’t wait to watch this new “old home” love story unfold. How lucky am I to play a small part? Life is grand. 💚

Another chapter begins. Congratulations to my clients. I couldn’t be more thrilled for you.

And most importantly, this beautiful old home is going to get so much love! 💚💚💚

iGUIDE 3D Tour for 172 Dundas St W, Napanee, ON 04/18/2026

✨ For one of the largest curated collections of historical homes in Ontario, follow us on Instagram: 👉 👈
Now....Step into 172 Dundas St. W — a Napanee crown jewel, standing proud since 1871.

Few addresses carry the weight of history quite like this one. Anchoring one of Napanee's most distinguished streets, this magnificent triple brick Victorian estate commands attention with five bedrooms, two baths, and an unrivalled position just five minutes from the storied downtown core, the scenic riverfront boardwalk, and the full tapestry of small-town Ontario life at its finest.

Built in an era when greatness was measured in detail, every inch of this home is a testament to Victorian mastery. Original wide-plank hardwood floors sweep through sun-drenched principal rooms. A sweeping arched doorway — a hallmark of the period's finest residences — unites the family and sitting rooms in effortless grandeur. Two statement fireplaces, one dressed in luminous marble, one richly appointed in solid oak, preside over the main living spaces like silent guardians of a more magnificent age. Ten-inch baseboards, soaring extended-height windows, commanding solid double doors, and an exquisite staircase bannister speak to a calibre of construction the modern world simply cannot replicate.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom opens to a private elevated porch — a sanctuary above the treetops, perfectly positioned for golden evening sunsets. Generous verandas extend the living experience into the open air, offering gracious vantage points over manicured gardens and one of Ontario's most charming neighbourhood streetscapes.

Beneath it all, a full dry basement offers expansive storage and workshop space worthy of the home above it. And at the rear, through a shared drive, stands the pièce de résistance: the original two-storey carriage house, its historic horse stall intact beneath lofted storage — an extraordinarily rare Victorian survivor that money alone cannot recreate.

Meticulously preserved and immaculately maintained, 172 Dundas is not simply a home. It is a piece of Ontario's living heritage — offered now to a discerning steward ready to write its next distinguished chapter.

Many early settlers—especially Irish and British—built using the stone they found right on their land. That’s where fieldstone homes came from. Rounded stones, irregular shapes, and a more natural, almost patchwork look.

But at the very same time, some builders had the tools—or the skill—to shape that stone.
That’s when you start to see cut stone homes. More structured, more refined, with straighter lines and more consistent rows.

In places like Kingston, you’ll often see limestone cut into clean, rectangular blocks.
While in Elora and Fergus, the local stone gives homes a completely different texture.

One thing is for certain. They are ALL beautiful.

And here’s what to look for when you’re driving the Ontario countryside.

🌸 Are the stones rounded or shaped?
🌸 Are the rows level… or more natural and uneven?
🌸 And does the stone feel local to the landscape?

Before these homes were beautiful they were practical. And that’s exactly what makes them so special today.

If you’re lucky enough to own one, tell us about it! What kind of stone is it? Where did the stone come from?

This gorgeous building is part of Ste. Anne’s Spa. It’s worth the visit just to see this gorgeous stone!

The search can take months but with the right house you will know almost immediately.

Even in today’s market hesitation may cost you the home…especially with a character-filled oldie. The good ones don’t last long.

If a dream old home is on your list this year, I am standing by ready to help. I will travel far and wide to connect good stewards with these beautiful old treasures. I’m just a DM away.
