I leaned fully into my fav vibe of euphoric, housey bangers with a few left turns, plus some groovy, emotional, proggy tracks💫

The mix also features a few Toronto artists such as Dan Only, Yohei S, and Ficilio (including tracks from the new Place: Toronto EP on Air Texture) And of course, I had to include a track from my new EP as well! 😛

HAPPY FIRST EP RELEASE DAY!!!
Float Phase is officially OUT NOW on all platforms!! 💙🐙✨

This EP is a collection of tracks written over the past few years. Some came together recently, others I’ve been refining for what feels like forever. They drift across the melodic, housey, euphoric-prog spectrum, and just like with my DJ sets, my goal is always to hit people right in the feels ☺️🫀

I’ve been producing for six years and DJing for nine, but my relationship with music has been lifelong: playing piano through my teens, bass in a hard rock band in my twenties, spending all my money on CDs while working at Sunrise Records, obsessively making iTunes playlists while living in Japan, and constantly daydreaming about DJing…until one day I finally said f*ck it, got over my insecurity, and just started doing it! ✊🏻

Today also marks 1300 days of sobriety for me. I honestly don’t think this release would exist without the decision I made in November 2021 to cut substances and alcohol from my life. Sobriety gave me the clarity, perseverance, and confidence to push forward, through endless edits, re-listens, YouTube tutorials, and omg the BACK AND SHOULDER PAIN 😵‍💫😝

HUGE THANKS to Jason Spanu for pushing me through my early “really good at making bad music” phase, to Lisene for helping me refine my sound (which is still a work in progress!😛), to Red Rack’em for the great variety of How I Program lessons on Patreon, and to every friend who listened, gave feedback, and supported me through this 🤗

The deeper I go in music, the more motivated I am to keep evolving, experimenting, and trying to extract the infinite ideas swimming around in my brain. I’m so excited for what’s next, and so grateful to be sharing this with you 🥲
