Advent 77DB Sound Play (largo, 25:15)
Advent 77DB Sound Play is a multidisciplinary audio exploration. It sought to challenge conventional ideas of music by blending melodies, spoken word, and electronic sound art into radio play format and live performance. By integrating the concept of public space and sound, we aim to craft a sonic narrative that balanced the volumes of sound and the voices that inhabited those spaces. The decibel levels of human speech play a crucial role in shaping the experience of sound in these open spaces. In order to balance human sound with the sound of spaces we decided to choose the level 77DB.

We tried to create a soundscape play that merged human interaction with the environment, weaving in the cacophony of city life with the personal moments via storytelling of capoeira songs. In certain spaces, where we feel calm yet invigorated, everything seems symbolic. Personal affection shifts into collective action, recognized and shared by others, a sense of belonging emerges. Lena's experience with the Brazilian martial art capoeira helped to discover beyond the physical movements the strong essence of music and rhythms.

Meta Golova is the dialogue between East and West in the meeting of artists Carlos Issa, from São Paulo, and Lena Kilina, from Siberia, who choose music and sound trance to overturn the mental and geopolitical polarities of the planet that accompanies infinite evolution. Their duo combines revolutionary multilingual poetry and electronic sound to amplify the power of the body that fights against a society that has chosen the morality of a war and capitalist accumulation. Meta Golova creates unordinary electro-punk fusion as celebration of a dream and potency of transformation.

Astral Swans is multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Matthew Swann created his moody-experimental indie project back in 2012. From his first releases to his latest EP, with multimedia noise-pop artist Chad VanGaalen, the artistic approach behind Astral Swan is both explosive and sensitive. It embraces the back-and-forth, ephemeral, or permanent, of solitude, its fragility, absurdity and the fantasies the artist faces. In search of explosive, psychedelic and soaring sounds, her refined aesthetic has led her to share the stage with artists such as Angel Olsen, Feist, Grimes, Julie Doiron and Colin Stetson, while performing in Japan, China, Europe and, of course, North America.
