Did you know that tires have an expiration date, even if the tread looks fine? 🛞 It’s not just about wear and tear — age can affect your tire’s performance, putting you and your passengers at risk.

Over time, tires can develop cracks, dry rot, or even degrade internally, making them less reliable. Here's how you can ensure your tires are safe for the road this new year:

🔍 Check the Manufacture Date: Every tire has a DOT number printed on its sidewall. The last four digits of this number tell you the week and year your tire was made. For example, “2319” means the tire was made in the 23rd week of 2019.

🛠 Get Your Tires Inspected: Even if you don’t see visible signs of damage, it’s always a good idea to have a mechanic check for cracking, abnormal wear, or expiration. Don’t take chances — your safety is worth it!

Keep your ride smooth and safe this year! đź’Ş

Are your car seats expired? Every car seat and booster seat in Canada has a "useful life date" or expiry date on the seat and base. If you have difficulty locating it, you can call the manufacturer for assistance.

Remember, in Ontario a car seat or booster seat must be used with children under eight years old, or you may get a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act.
