Spending a relaxing day in the city with my new favorite bag from .clothing. I plan to do absolutely nothing today. These days are pure bliss when I don't have a list of things to do. My brain feels pleasantly empty 😊.

Yesterday morning, I visited the end of route 66 at Santa Monica Pier. We had an early breakfast. Of course, my body is still on Toronto time, and the stomach doesn't understand the 3 hour time difference between TO and LA. It growls and rumbles when it needs food regardless of the time on the clock. Fortunately, some breakfast places had opened. On arrival, our waiter in the restaurant said, "Welcome to my scenic office." He gestured at the ocean view and said he felt lucky to work there even on weekends. Looking at the beautiful surroundings, I agreed with him. I had a delicious breakfast burrito oozing with melted cheese and bacon bits with a tangy tomato chutney 😋.
After an early breakfast, we strolled on the beach and the Santa Monica pier. It was still a bit chilly, but it got warmer as the morning progressed.The attractions on the pier hadn't opened yet, so the place was practically empty and I got to enjoy the beach waves and the end of the historic route 66 in peace.
Route 66 is one of the most famous highways in the US that connects the east to the west. I remember I had seen parts of this highway in Arizona when I visited the Grand Canyon.
After the pier, we explored the city of Santa Monica some more. The city is gorgeous. I was awed by the scenery, the palm trees, and other vegetation. I tried hard to capture their beauty on camera but somehow failed miserably. The camera didn't catch my sense of wonder. However, it's still recorded in my memory to be enjoyed again and again in the future 😁
