A full-circle moment I’ll Never Forget!

Last year, I officially became a Certified Maxwell Leadership Team Member—as a leadership trainer, speaker, and coach.

But what made it truly special was something that happened six years earlier.

Back then, I had a phone conversation with TRACI MORROW and John C. Maxwell. Yes—that John C. Maxwell. I still remember where I was standing during that call. They invited me to join the Maxwell Leadership Team, and honestly, I was both honored and a little surprised.

I said yes. Something in me just knew—it was the right step.

Fast forward to the Certification event in Orlando, I met Traci Morrow and John Maxwell in person. I walked up to Traci and said, “Traci, you might not remember, but we spoke on the phone six years ago—you and John invited me to this journey.”

Her eyes lit up, and we both smiled. We were really glad to see each other. That small moment meant a lot.

Then I asked her if she’d do something personal for me:
“Would you write my name on my certificate—the one signed by John C. Maxwell and Mark Cole?”

And she did.

That moment—her handwriting, that signature—it brought everything full circle.
It reminded me how one conversation… one invitation… can change the direction of your life.

It did for me.

Look at this shade of effectiveness, and you will understand that you can multiply it by growing your leaders.

Process optimization determines your level of productivity, but your leadership ability determines your level of effectiveness.

We need to recognize that managing processes alone has its limitations. I explain this point repeatedly to leaders across various industries and sectors.

If, on a scale of 1 to 10, your success is driven by a score of 6 in managing processes but only 1 in leadership ability, your shade of effectiveness will remain severely limited.

You can push your people as much as you want, but if your leadership level is only 1, your company, organization, or department will never grow beyond your ability to lead people.

However, when you improve your leadership ability, your level of effectiveness will multiply.

This is the Law of Multiplication that John Maxwell described it very well.
