π’ A Voice That Must Be Heard β The Time for Womenβs Inclusion is NOW
Today, we stand at a critical moment in our society, one that calls for courage, fairness, and intentional action.
The African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) has released a powerful public statement highlighting a hard truth: women are still significantly underrepresented in Nigerian politics, despite their undeniable contributions to nation-building, economic growth, and community development.
This is more than just statistics, itβs about voices being unheard, opportunities being limited, and potential being overlooked.
Recent developments, including the reported disqualification of distinguished leaders like Senator Ipalibo Banigo, remind us that progress is not guaranteed unless we actively protect and promote inclusion.
So what does this mean for all of us?
It means we cannot stay silent.
It means inclusion must go beyond words and become real, visible action.
It means creating space intentionally for women to lead, participate, and thrive.
A better future one that is equitable, prosperous, and sustainable can only happen when women are fully included at every decision-making table.
β¨ Letβs not just talk about change. Letβs be part of it.
