The Scribe Bookstore

Thank you to everyone who came out to the summer sale this year! Once it ended, I donated a whopping 2000 items. About 80 boxes of free books and prints went out in a two day span.

I’ve done these sales now for five straight years. I’ve sorted over 100,000 items during that time just for these sales, not including store items.

For the most part, I simply just shift the money I paid for sale bound books onto store bound books, which allows me room to sell things at a lower cost and in many cases for free. It’s a process that unfolds slowly each day at the shop when I buy collections.

I strive to make these sales as unique as they can possibly be, but it gets harder every year. It takes me about 10 months to accumulate enough quality items for every sale and the sheer exhaustion of it all makes it tricky to predict if I can continue doing them.

I will try my best for next year. Your excitement and the buzz it creates means everything to me.
