1️⃣ Plan for it

More than 98% of Fortune 500 companies use ATS so the chances are high that yours will go through one.

2️⃣ Resume Formatting

Graphic resumes are great for some situations but not at all. It is a good idea to stick with a clean and professional business layout.

3️⃣ Page Layout

Columns are great for spreadsheets, but should not be used to split experiences on a resume.

4️⃣ Location

It is no longer expected to list your full address. You could opt to list just your city and state just so ATS won’t discard your resume if it thinks you are too far away.

5️⃣ Dates

Writing the month and year for each job listed on your resume will help ATS accurately calculate your years of experience.
