👩‍🎓Back in 2012 when was in my final year of college, I had already got placed in one of the top MNC's through an on-campus placement drive which was purely a technical role and that is what was my college education background - Techie!

Still, I was applying for jobs through online portals - just to gain some experience in handling the interviews. Interviews were real fun for me🥳. It was a new and previously unencountered experience for me.

So one day, I got a call from a company to come down for an interview and it was for a front-office position. Holy gosh🤯 I didn't know that I applied for this position as I was randomly applying for jobs (like every other newbie does) but unknowingly I already confirmed the date and time as well for the interview.

Then I turned up to my mom saying, "I made a mistake mom," I applied for a front-office position and I already confirmed that I will be attending the interview unknowingly. What am I to do now? Mom said, "It's fine, you just attend the interview it will be another added experience and let's see what we can do about it later."

So, I did go for the interview and got selected✅. It was the final discussion with the head of HR for salary negotiation and accepting the offer. After introducing myself and answering a few usual questions.

HR - "Do you know this job role is for a front office executive?"
Me - The final year student 'me' who is still yet to write her last semester, gosh!! what am I even going to say to him!? ... silence...
HR - "Okay, I don't think so you should take up this job. You are sharp and have very good communication. So I am offering you a position in International Business Development for the UK market region."
Me - That's great! Let's talk more about the role.

While driving back home, My thoughts were like- what the heck is really happening! I have a technical background and I have already got placed in the core company which is one among the top MNC's. Now, this role really sounds interesting to me "Business Development"😍 and why am I even feeling to take up this job so badly!?
