Today, I had the privilege of guiding a life story writing workshop at the Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center, where we explored the theme of seeing ourselves as the heroes in our journey, and envisioning a future where we return home to a place of flourishing.

It was a deeply moving experience.

One of the most powerful moments occurred when I heard the words, ā€œI’m not a victim,ā€ spoken by a survivor of human s*x trafficking.

I was struck by the gravity of her journey and the immense courage it took for her to reach this point.

Witnessing the genuine vulnerability and remarkable courage of each individual as they shared their life stories was truly inspiring.

In their stories were moments of resilience and grace that touched my soul and reminded me of the profound strength within each person on their path to healing.

My heart is filled with so much gratitude.

Each person has left an imprint on my spirit, igniting a sense of purpose that continues to guide my own journey of growth and understanding.

May we embrace the richness of our stories, recognizing that it is through our shared humanity and vulnerability that we find strength and connection.
