As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, its applications are not only transforming industries but also reshaping how we approach global challenges. One striking example is in the realm of road safety.
York University Professor Ali Asgary, in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), has unveiled MotoAI, an innovative AI-powered web application for motorcycle safety. Launched during the 8th UN Global Road Safety Week, MotoAI uses 34 risk indicators to offer personalized risk assessments and crucial recommendations to help riders stay safe on the road. Beyond individual use, it’s also a powerful tool for global road safety initiatives, providing data and trends for policymakers and researchers.
At Walk With Web, we share this vision of harnessing technology for meaningful impact. Just as MotoAI applies AI to enhance safety and inform global policy, our projects use digital tools to support research, preserve culture, and build accessible platforms for global impact.
