Peace

This pandemic hit us like an unexpected storm. This storm came with crashing waves of struggles that we can all relate to in some way. Whether it is financial issues, losing family members, loneliness and/or anxiety, know that God is with you right now and that we can trust Him in the midst of this storm.

An amazing song, "Peace be still" by Lauren Daigle and The Belonging Co reminded me that God has promised us peace. That peace isn't just a feeling, peace is a person, God is the Prince of Peace and has promised to always be with us. It reminded me that as long as He is with me, fear will not take over my life.

Hope

You asked and I listened!

With all of the shutdowns and restrictions in Toronto, I sometimes find myself losing hope. With the increase of COVID cases, one can easily lose hope that this pandemic may never end and that we will never be able to gather with our friends and family again.

But when in doubt the bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 comes to mind.

It says:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to propser you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

By simply remembering this verse, I know that I can trust the plan that God has set out for all of us. I now have hope that things will indeed get better and we will soon be able to gather with friends and family and those we all miss dearly.
