My mission to try Indigenous food across Canada continues, and this is part 3 of a 4 part miniseries in Québec with

1️⃣ Visit , a predominantly English-speaking Mohawk community just across the river (under 30 drive).

⭐️ Great local food businesses like and
⭐️ Public festivals year round
⭐️ A brand new cultural centre with a museum, theatre and more is coming soon along with much more!

2️⃣ Visits museums with Indigenous exhibits

⭐️ has a permanent exhibit called Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience. Another unique exhibit we saw was all about the history of Montréal’s restaurant scene!
⭐️ has a permanent exhibit showcasing Inuit art called uummaqutik: essence of life. Its many other exhibits are spread out across multiple gorgeous buildings.

3️⃣ Visit , a Cree boutique in the Old Port

⭐️ They stock one-of-a-kind products handmade by artisans from Cree communities across the province
⭐️ There are also educational displays and samples of tea & treats made by Indigenous companies

One spot I haven’t checked out yet is , the only Indigenous cafe in the city.
