I've slowed down with tattoos thinkn in all reality I was losing my love for it due to trying to make ends meet.
Having to admit to myself I needed to do other things and put my passion on pause was tearing me apart. Tho that doesn't mean " I failed" as an artist. ( As much as my brain would try and tell me)
Slowing down meant I can focus more on projects that are more ME more true to my art. It also meant less feeling like I'm just barely keeping my head above water.
So with that I needed to also turn inwards...
Ive fallen down again with my mental health for the past year.
Bipolar taught me how deep the highs go
and how dark the lows can get.
Addiction tried to convince me chaos was creative.
It wasn’t. It was just loud.
Sobriety stripped me down to the raw outline- this journey is still going because I'm still going.
