Progress in science is a laborious process where better data is acquired by visionaries and cutting edge researchers, and most often, the long held and erroneous beliefs are only given up for better scientific models reluctantly. Detractors of the big bang theory are relieved to finally see the badly flawed theory headed for a big bust.
