Many homeowners assume turning the water heater up higher means better performance, but that extra heat can come at a cost. 🌑️⚠️

Water that’s too hot increases the risk of burns, wastes energy, and can put additional strain on your water heater over time, potentially shortening its lifespan.

A simple temperature adjustment can help improve safety, efficiency, and the long-term health of your home’s plumbing system. πŸ’§πŸ‘

Saskatoon market check-in πŸ‘πŸ“Š

Fresh data is in, and the local market is still moving with solid momentum ⚑

* 519 homes sold
* Inventory at 1.61 months of supply
* Average price now $444,400 (new record high πŸ’°)
* Homes spending about 25 days on market

So what’s happening right now?
Demand is still outpacing supply in a lot of segments, which keeps conditions competitive, especially for well-priced listings.

Buyers need to stay ready and act quickly.
Sellers are still in a strong position when pricing and presentation are on point πŸ‘€

Saskatoon’s market is still moving with energy across every corner of the city πŸ‘πŸ“Š

Some neighbourhoods are seeing prices climb steadily, while others are holding a more balanced pace, giving buyers a bit more room to make decisions. No two areas are behaving the same right now, and that’s what makes this market interesting.

Even with fewer sales, pricing in Erindale is still edging upward, showing steady underlying demand while supply stays relatively tight.

Every neighbourhood has its own rhythm right now, and knowing yours can make a big difference whether you’re buying, selling, or just planning ahead.

If you want a breakdown of what your own home is worth in today’s market (or what’s happening on your specific street), I can put together a free, simple market evaluation for you.

Months of inventory is sitting at 1.57 overall, showing a still-tight market with different pressure points across price ranges and property types.

Detached homes range from competitive lower segments to more balanced conditions in the mid-tier, while higher-end and acreage properties show more variation in supply vs demand.

πŸ“‰ Some price bands remain undersupplied
πŸ“ˆ Others are starting to build inventory

Often we only post the positive things. Nobody wants to be vulnerable - especially in real estate where sometimes perception trumps reality. If you who are tired of all the shared successes and want a little splash of reality:

Most hot tub owners default to chlorine, but it’s not the only option.

Some systems use hydrogen peroxide instead to help keep water clean with less chemical smell and a gentler feel on the skin when properly maintained. πŸ’§βœ¨

That’s what we use in our own family hot tub, and it’s made maintenance feel simpler and more comfortable.

Also chlorine is a known Neuro toxin and your skin is your biggest organ and we think it kills healthy gut bacteria. How’s that for a red pill?!

Small choices in upkeep can make a big difference in long-term comfort.

Buyer tip. When buying a new home be sure to ask to the energy modelling report. In this case the home outperforms typical brand new builds by ~ 24%.

Congrats to Ellaney Homes and to the amazing home owners on this home run. No pun intended.
