A flashing engine light is an indication that the vehicle should not be driven. Continuing to drive your vehicle with a flashing engine light can cause a serious damage into the engine. A flashing engine light is caused by a misfire, one or more engine cylinder may not be producing power. Engine misfires can be caused by faulty spark plugs, ignition coils or/and faulty fuel injectors. In a severe cases engine misfires can be caused by mechanical failure in the engine. Whatever the case may be a vehicle with a flashing engine light should not be driven and should be taken to reputable automotive shop to be diagnosed by certified automotive technicians.
