Research indicates that driver distractions contribute to 20 to 30 per cent of all collisions and that distracted drivers are three times more likely to be involved in a collision than attentive drivers. Global Traffic Group and Parker Thompson have partnered to help raise awareness on the dangers of Distracted Driving. Cell phone use, texting, applying makeup, reading newspapers and brushing teeth are normal day-to-day activities that are consequence free unless you are behind the wheel. All of these distractions increase the probability of getting into a collision and worse yet a life altering situation.
