🤔 Are we asking the right questions during genetic testing?

🙋‍♀️ Melanie is a genetic counsellor who breaks genetic variants down into one simplified analogy: a gene is like a sentence. A variant is a typo. Yet not all typos change the meaning of a sentence.

🧬 Pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants are what can cause troublesome issues in the body. So the question we should be asking is, “is this variant harmless? Or is it (likely) pathogenic?” This video explains how.
