Hi everyone,
Jackie here ❤️ We’ve been quiet on here lately, but we’ve made the difficult decision to close of this chapter of PlantEd Project.
What does this mean? PlantEd will no longer be a business, we will no longer be offering workshops we will no longer be business partners (just best friends!). The website with still be live and you can purchase cookbooks, check out the blog and find our recipes. The Instagram will also still be around, run by me, and content will plant focused, with a more personal twist. The next chapter is still a bit of a mystery, but I’ll contribute and show up however I can🌱
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for coming along on this journey. We’ve loved what we do over the last 3 years, but we know in our hearts that working to run this full time just isn’t feasible. Finding the courage to this idea out in the world, also having to have the courage to know when it’s time to set it aside has been the most exciting and heartbreaking experience we’ve ever had, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. We put everything we had into this, and getting to cook, talk and meet with you all over the years has been the greatest privilege, even if it didn’t work out quite like we’d hoped.
If you’ve ever wanted do to start or build something, you should go for it. If we have any advice to share, it’s that even if it doesn’t last forever, it doesn’t mean it won’t be impactful or that you won’t learn a lot along the way.
We hope you’ll stick around for the next chapter (whatever that may look like) and join us in celebrating this one at a potluck we’re hosting on August 25th from 7pm - 9pm in Ottawa. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] and let us know what vegan snack or drink (or ideally favourite PlantEd dish) you’d like to bring. This will be a fun, casual event in Georgia’s backyard - we’ll provide an address to those who contact us🎈
Love, Jackie & Georgia💞

The biggest misconception we hear about going plant-based is you have to have it all figured out before you start😅
You DON’T need all the best cookbooks with your favourite recipes ready to go. Or every fancy meat, egg, and dairy replacement stocked in your fridge. Or a list of all the local restaurants that offer plant-based options.
What do you DO need? Is a community to come to when you need support, or have questions that need to be answered, or need some recipe inspiration.
So next time you think to yourself “I’ll never be able to go plant-based”, remember, all you need is the right community with the right resources to help you on your journey and that's exactly what we're here for at PlantEd✨
PS have you been struggling to make that first step in your transition to a plant-based lifestyle? Check out our website for more helpful tools and resources or book a workshop to learn some hands on plant-based cooking skills🌱

WORKSHOP REMINDER✨
Don't miss out on the last workshop in our Italian-inspired series this Thursday, April 21 at 6:00pm EST🇮🇹
We'll be making this crispy eggplant parm - a veggie twist on the classic “Chicken Parm” dish we all know and love. We’ll be breading, baking and frying the eggplant, then serving it over spaghetti with a simple homemade marinara sauce🍝
For dessert, we’ll be making a coffee cake topped with simple vanilla icing and powdered sugar. This recipe can be made gluten-free with a few easy swaps!
Both recipes are made with simple ingredients that are easily accessible at most supermarkets and you've still got plenty of time to grab them before Thursday🛒
