Placed at the epicenter of a melodic universe that probes the space between pain and pleasure - think luminescent, asymmetrical 80s synth-pop with the throb of “desert noir” - tinged folk rock fronted by intense, soaring vocals.

a year on low-dose testo. My shoulders are bigger, my voice has changed for the better (fuller, lower notes, warmer, growling contralto rage opening up into something I find more musically exciting than my previous falsetto synthpop shtick). Vocal change felt unwelcome when I started this journey, especially when my voice has been my livelihood and there is no “how to” for someone going on low-dose hormones. I’ve not documented every little change because I feared I might start to fixate on my body in unhealthy ways to distract from the stress of it. Happy to report it’s been astounding, sometimes scary, often beautiful, ever new - but all you can do is work with the body you have, which is a changing creature regardless. Onward.
