🚨 Long post alert! 🚨
This Sunday will be No Water, No Flowers' one year anniversary and I still feel overwhelmed by the amount of love and support. I fully funded this record and released it independently. I’ve never been prouder of anything. When I first started the process of writing these songs it almost felt like I didn’t have a choice. They came from a place of extreme emotion and they just needed to be poured out of me. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that my fans relate to my music. I’m so grateful. From being on the cover of a massive Spotify playlist, showcasing my music around Canada, singing on stage with Dallas Green, to being the recipient of a Canadian Folk Music Award, this past year still feels pretty unreal. These career oriented goals have obviously changed my life, but on the personal side of things I have had the opportunity to meet and work with amazing people through this record and that is priceless. Music is all about sharing, feeling and collaborating and none of my successes would exist without the different people who inspire me everyday. ❤️
