Canada Day Long Weekend
Pride, Humility, Gratefulness, Truth, Reconciliation, Doing Better, Being Better express some of what I'm taking into this long weekend. I'm looking forward to the friends and family I'll be spending time with this weekend and thinking about how we each contribute to what the country will be tomorrow.

AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-lead not-for-profit, with over 30,000 members around the world in over 109 countries and territories. Formed 75 years ago, after the second world war, youth between the ages of 18 and 35 have organized themselves, planned projects, and developed programs that foster international cooperation and cultural understanding. They develop themselves as leaders and continue to make the world a better place.

When AIESEC moved their international secretariat to Montreal in late 2018, I accepted to join a group of external advisors who help the organization with their financial stability, annual plans, 5-year strategic plans, and overall operations. I’m currently serving my second 3-year volunteer term.

The organization’s business development team has been Sandler trained and their sponsorship sales process follows the Sandler Selling Methodology.

Last week, I was fortunate to attend their 2-day meeting in Montreal, which was a true reflection of AIESEC’s global nature. This hybrid event was attended by participants from around the world representing 16 different countries, only 3 of which speak English as their national language.
