Even as it thaws and begins to melt, the frozen sheets of water create patterns of beauty. The sun’s warmth is softening the ice, transitioning it through unbecoming, defrosting the protective layer so we can once again sow seeds for new life.

I’m thinking about how I’m allowing the “big melt” to cascade through this new season of my own life- simmering in rays of sunlight, orienting to warmth; weeding out old beliefs and patterns that have served their purpose; making room for fresh air, new perspectives, and a new season of this life.
