It’s almost summer in some States and Provinces, while others have been enjoying summer for a few weeks 😎

📆 This time of year often brings anxiety or big emotions in kids. Why? Because it is a huge transition for them.

Ending a school year and predictability means change.

☀️ In June, both parents and educators alike notice an increase in challenges in children’s behavior.

What’s the most effective way to comfort a child who has a dysregulated nervous system?

Through a calm adult. 💫

❤️ A parent or educator they can trust that’s connecting with them in a loving way.

🗣️Meeting a meltdown with yelling or anger makes things worse. It’s teaching your child that their feelings are not safe.
