It reminded me that most things valuable cannot be measured.

Sometimes the things that fill our cup the most are the simplest things.

Hard to believe it’s been almost 9 years since I bought this place. 🤯

I’ve always had a vision for this front veranda, and 2026 is finally the year I start bringing it to life. Ever since I was little, I’ve been drawn to front verandas and farmhouse wraparound porches. There’s just something about them.

This space has so much potential for outdoor living, it’s 6x12 (and that’s not even including the upper level!). I’ll bring you along for the process… or at least as much as I remember to share. 😅 I usually post this kind of thing in my stories, but I’m genuinely so excited about it that I wanted to share it here too.

What I especially love is how it completely changes the flow of my days. I’m usually on my back deck first thing in the morning with my coffee, but by 10am the sun is intense and it gets too hot. Then I end up moving inside to work from my kitchen, living room, or office.

Now I get to move with the sun. ☀️
The front stays shaded with the nicest breeze until around 3:30-ish, and by then the back deck has cooled down again.

Honestly… best of both worlds.

PS. If anyone wants to come have coffee (or other 😉) on the patio this summer, let a girl know. I would absolutely love that.
