Destiny remains one of the most valuable sci‑fi IPs in gaming. Regardless of the ongoing issues within Bungie’s team, the franchise warrants a proper continuation. A well‑executed Destiny 3 would unlock the potential the IP has always carried.

I love MMORPGs - always have, always will. But man… sometimes being an MMO player feels like paying a “platform tax” every time life changes.

New World is basically gone.
Dune: Awakening isn’t on consoles yet.
So I figured I’d reinstall Elder Scrolls Online on PS5 and get back into a world I’ve supported for years.

Then it hit me:

All the expansions I bought on Xbox - over $1k across years of subs, chapters, and Crown Store purchases - none of it carries over.
Not a single thing.

New platform = start from zero.
Zero progress.
Zero expansions.
Zero entitlements.
Zero value from years of support.

It’s honestly one of the biggest hurdles in returning to an MMO.
Not the grind.
Not the learning curve.
Not the time investment.

It’s the feeling of having to rebuy your entire history just because you changed hardware.

I still love these worlds.
I still want to dive back in.
But damn… starting over shouldn’t cost this much.
