"All that glistens is not gold"- Shakespeare
I grew up with the value that "Artificial" was less healthy and less desired. Image seeing an image of a beautiful green landscape just to step barefoot onto astroturf. Ick. My hormones. This does stuff to our bodies.
Superficially attractive or impressive things lack real value. I am often turned off by the MANY images I see. So much has become made by AI. "Make me a poster for..." and instantly it is designed. There was little effort put into it. It is obvious if it is made by AI. I just don't get the appeal. I am also aware of the harm that this is doing to our environment. The amount of water these data centres need is disastrous. I definitely don't want one to be built in my community, nor do I want one built in yours.
Breastfeeding is a way we can support our Earth. It reduces the carbon footprint, decreases waste and emissions, improves health of communities, and saves water. It is a way we support our people. It isn't artificial. It is real connection.
I take pride in making my own content. I take pride in my 1:1 Lactation Consults. I take pride in the knowledge and resources that I share with you.
Artificial is not the look I am going for.

The breastfeeding/lactation tracking apps and AI tools connected to products don't tell us how you feel breastfeeding is going. There is a lot of non data information that is much more important. The mother/baby relationship tells a story and I am always keen to know yours and help you interpret and navigate your breastfeeding journey.
Some things we see with parents who use tracking tools:
-Increased anxiety
-The need to control
-Early weaning
-Compulsive behaviours
-Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
If you are tracking, how does it affect your mood?
Try this instead-->Find something else to track. Try tracking your mood.
If you need to hear this-- it is ok to just not track 💛

I am not interested in tricking you. There is enough of that by businesses marketing their products at you.
I listen and support you to reach your breastfeeding goals.
