Bereaved Mother’s Day.
I didn’t know this day existed… until I had to.
This photo was from a Mother’s Day shoot with my girls when they were little. A moment in time I wish I could step back into, even just for a minute.
Because the truth is…this isn’t just one day.
It’s every day.
Grief doesn’t follow rules or timelines. It shows up in the quiet, in the memories, in the photos, in aisle 7 at Zehrs. It lives alongside the love, the gratitude, the life that keeps moving forward.
I’m so thankful for Alyssa, for her light, her strength, her presence in my life❤️
And I miss Addy in a way that never softens. There’s a space that will always be hers. A longing for what should have been, for more time, more moments like this one.
Both can exist, and they do exist.
Today I was holding space for myself, and for every mother carrying love and loss at the same time. Not just today, but every single day.
If I could go back, I would in a heartbeat.
But instead, I carry you with me, Addy. Always. 💛
