Pop Goes the Paper

he mechanics of the pop up, I started trying to figure out how they work. I never realized how complex they can be until I started trying to create my own. While the "slice and dice" method (like my tree) can be very spectacular, I also wanted to create something that used other methods to create effects. Last year I began to think about not only creating a card that people would keep from one year to the next, I wanted it to be a card that could convert into something special, like an ornament for your tree. Pop up ornaments are easy to store, don't take up much space and can be a lasting memory of the person who gave it to you. They are light, which means they are easy to hang on the tree.
