Thank you to the Halton Region Federation of Agriculture for inviting me to their Annual General Meeting and banquet at Country Heritage Park. Our farmers do so much to feed our communities and keep our agricultural sector strong. These conversations are an important opportunity to hear directly from them about their priorities and the future of farming in Halton. Thank you to the Federation for bringing everyone together and for their ongoing work on behalf of local farmers.

Congratulations to Noah’s Pizza on the opening of their new Rockwood location on Jolliffe Avenue! Wishing them a successful start as they welcome customers and become part of the local business community. All the best to Noah’s Pizza as they grow their business here in Rockwood!

I joined Minister Rob Flack in Guelph to announce the city’s successful application to receive $48.3 million in provincial and federal funding through the Development Charge Reduction Program.

Through the Canada-Ontario Partnership to Build, Ontario and Canada are investing a combined $8.8 billion over 10 years in infrastructure across Ontario. The Development Charge Reduction Program supports municipalities that lower fees on new residential construction, helping reduce building costs while funding essential infrastructure such as water and wastewater systems.

Our government is committed to making homeownership more affordable for young professionals, growing families and seniors. Alongside reductions in development charges, Ontario and Canada have introduced full HST relief on eligible new homes from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, saving homebuyers up to $130,000 and bringing homeownership within reach for more people.

We’re using every tool at our disposal to protect Ontario jobs in the face of U.S. tariffs.

Through our Buy Ontario policy, we’re leveraging $30 billion in annual purchasing power to prioritize Ontario businesses, keep more money in our economy and support good-paying jobs right here at home.

Thank you to Mr. Philipp for inviting me to Park Public School in Georgetown. I was able to speak with his Grade 5 class and share a little about the work I do as their Member of Provincial Parliament!

The students asked some great questions about my role, government and how decisions are made. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and interest in learning more about how government works.
