After witnessing firsthand the devastating effect of breast cancer on our late teacher, six of her former students formed the Humanitarian Efforts Advocating a Responsible Tomorrow (HEART) Society with the goal of promoting awareness and support of serious issues, such as breast cancer, that affect society today.
