Good afternoon, if you are looking at buying a used trailer or fifth wheel from a private seller please consider having a qualified technician have a quick look visually at before purchasing. I have looked at a few that have already been purchased and found serious issues with them and had to deliver bad news to the new owner. If seller is not willing to have qualified tech check it over then there possibly is a major issue with the unit. I am not saying every seller has something to hide, most people are very honest but there are a few bad apples out there as in every day life. In my 44th year of being a technician I have seen more than a few times new buyers get taken advantage of because they love the unit and are blinded by how clean the unit is and how well it was taken care of only to find out when they get it home and they really start to look and then they find something that doesn’t seem proper. My wife was real trooper tonight on an emergency call out for a complete power loss in a fifth wheel that a customer lives in. She held flashlight outside in a snow storm while I rewired a main power cord. Back home now after a slow slippery drive home enjoying a couple of warm hot tot tees.
