No is a complete sentence, no need to explain why, no excuses, no need to worry about or console someone's feelings.
Feeling into your body, know yourself, understand yourself... understand how your body responds... to a yes, and to a no. Once you start to practise this, you will become more familiar with what feels good to you/for you and what does not. Then all you have to do is honour that!
Honour yourself and honour others.
