Summer weddings at Mainspace always find that balance between polished and relaxed. You can start the day with mountain views, come back for cocktails and dinner, and still get photos that feel cinematic without missing half your reception.

Also, the Mainspace bar at night deserves its own shoutout. The lighting, the shelves, the atmosphere in these photos… it naturally becomes the spot guests gather around all night long.

On May 5th, Mainspace had the pleasure of hosting the Higher Ground Spring Social presented by YWCA Banff. It was incredible to see so many community members come together to share ideas, ask questions, and take part in conversations surrounding the future of the Higher Ground project.

Thank you to for choosing our space to host such an important community event, and to everyone who came by and contributed throughout the evening. We’re always grateful to see Mainspace filled with connection, conversation, and community involvement!

Tsai-Ann + Brian’s first look happened just a short walk from our venue doors, tucked into the trees before the rest of the day began. A lot of couples choose to do a first look because the rest of the wedding day moves fast, and this becomes one of the only quiet “just us” moments you get together. It also helps calm the nerves before the ceremony… although we’d still recommend bringing tissues!

Just a heads up… Mainspace is officially back in wedding season mode, and things are already getting busy over here. We’re looking forward to the outdoor ceremonies, the incredible menus coming from our catering teams, the packed dance floors, the happy tears, and all of the wildly unique decor ideas coming to life this year. It’s go time.

A small piece of advice for couples, choose one material to carry through the day, silk, matte paper, glass, and let it repeat in small ways. It quietly pulls everything together.
