ASK NOT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR HONEY - BUT RATHER WHAT YOUR HONEY CAN DO FOR YOU????

One of the most recent conversations I had with a customer was how she is addicted to loose-leaf tea and uses honey to sweeten it. Mmmmmm!!! I thought this might be a good time to catch up again on some of the most fantastic (and delicious) ways to use honey:

1. In your tea and coffee instead of sugar - this is healthier because it does not spike blood sugar levels like sugar does

2. In your cooking and baking as a sweetener - use 3/4 cups of honey as a substitute for a cup of sugar. It is delicious.

3. Use as a natural remedy for colds, sore throats and an upset stomach. A spoonful of honey, a teaspoon of lemon and a cup of hot water.

4. On cuts, scrapes, burns and other wounds - raw honey is a natural antibiotic, antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal. Wow!

5. Use as a natural face mask - raw honey moisturizes dry skin, clears up oily skin and dries out acne.

6. The best gift - give as a delicious, thoughtful gift for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Teacher's Gifts, etc. Wrap a beautiful bow around it and add a card.

7. Make Mead - delicious. You can make your very own wine by fermenting honey in water and yeast.
