Campus Community Kitchen
The Campus Community Kitchen is a food-focused, student-led project at the University of Calgary. It began when a few Meal Exchange Peer Helpers at the CCEL decided they wanted to create a program that could address some of the barriers that students and staff face in accessing healthy food by providing a welcoming space for people to learn about food skills and make and enjoy affordable, nutritious meals together.

How is everyone doing? βΊοΈ
It is unfortunate that we are not able to gather and organize our monthly dinner events because of Covid-19 and instability happening around us. Nonetheless CCK will remain active online to promote healthy eating and living, and we plan to resume our operations when the time is right.
We will try and post more easy recipes, including the ones we have tried in the past for you πβΊοΈ. Let us know too if there is a recipe you want us to try, or if there is a recipe you would like to share with everyone!
Photo: this is bibimbap (Korean rice bowl) with a lot of healthy vegetables and pan-fried pork belly eaten with green onion and kimchi salad π©βπ³. The recipe comes from Maangchi, a very famous South Korean food youtuber!

Thank you to everyone for coming to our November 8th event! It was a smashing success, as we made food using fresh ingredients from our friends at the UofC Garden Club
We had Beets Salad with Leafy Greens and Feta Cheese, Stir-fried Marinated Beef and Mushrooms alternative for our vegetarian friends, Oven-roasted Garden Roots, and last but not least Caramel Apples! π
Thank you to UofC Garden Club for collaborating, the for the support and the Student Union funding, without which we could not have been able to provide such a great event for students!
