First weekend since July with zero plans. Soaking up the quiet. Shoveled the walkway, put dad’s pancake making training to good use and watching Montreal get their asses handed to them (sadly). It’s a much needed people-free weekend to prepare for the holiday season.

Finally warmed up enough to take the kids outside on to enjoy the sun, snow and burn off some energy. It felt good to be outside again without rushing back inside.

Take me far away where the sun sets last forever and life is full of laughter, love and peace.

I love black and white photography but I can’t decide which one I like better - the first shot, unedited or the second one.

I genuinely hate being in photos. I’m the photographer, the writer, the story teller. The world doesn’t need me in front of the camera, but rather behind it. But a new year calls for a selfie. It’s been a wild and adventurous 2024 and I’m not the same woman I was a year ago. Or even a month ago. I still believe in compassion and empathy, kindness and honesty and respect. But I’m no longer the woman who keeps the peace while my soul slowly withers away. I will speak my mind, will tell you when you’re not being the things I firmly believe in. I will pick my battles. I am a better version of myself than I was a year ago, but I’m not perfect and I’ve made many mistakes and I have a long way to go to get to perfection. I’ll keep trying and I’ll keep on loving, and ensuring that my life is filled with positivity as much as possible. I no longer accept negativity or toxic people into my life. I truly look forward to sharing the next year with the people I call family, friends, those I work with, the children I teach and the new people I’ll meet. Happy 2025 to all
