Job Title: Entry-Level Helper Labourer – Residential Renovations & Handyman Services

- Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)

Praia Construction is a small residential renovation and handyman business serving homeowners in the Calgary area. Our work includes a wide range of projects such as minor home repairs, renovations, installations, and general maintenance. Position Overview:

Praia Construction is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Helper Labourer to assist with residential renovation and handyman projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in construction and home improvement. You will work directly with the lead contractor helping with job setup, material handling, basic tasks, and learning different aspects of renovation work.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with general labour tasks on residential job sites
* Carry and organize tools, materials, and equipment
* Help with demolition, cleanup, and site preparation
* Support basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, fastening, and installation
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Load and unload materials and supplies
* Follow instructions and assist the lead contractor as needed

Requirements:

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform manual labour
* Reliable and punctual
* Basic hand tool familiarity is an asset but not required
* Valid driver’s license and transportation is an asset
* Ability to work respectfully in customers’ homes

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

* Previous construction or labour experience
* Experience with basic power tools
* Interest in carpentry, renovations, or skilled trades
