500 non-status construction workers in the Greater Toronto Area were offered permanent residency slots in a pilot programme for out-of-status workers announced in 2019. (GTA).

For the first time ever, IRCC has doubled its reach to serve 1,000 non-status construction workers in the Greater Toronto Area.

Cities of Toronto, Durham, Halton, Peel, and York make up the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for the purposes of this trial. As of right now, you have until January 2, 2024 to enrol in this pilot programme.
