So as some of you may be aware, our second annual hackathon has occurred this weekend and it ended up being surprisingly eventful!

As we draw this HYL season to close, we'd like to give one final round of applause to everyone who participated. It's a great feat to be able to create such projects in 24 hours, and all those who participated should be exceptionally proud of what they've accomplished!

Not to mention, without your enthusiasm in our event we would have no real reason to run the hackathon! So we do hope that you all enjoyed the experience as much as we did 💙

Now with the help of our wonderful judges,

- Rajat Arora @ HSBC
- Zac Beemer @ Benevity
- David Wong @ Benevity
- Raghav Poddar @ Forward Kitchens,

who volunteered their time this weekend we were able to decide on winners for our hackathon! The placements for this year were as follows:

- BEGINNER STREAM -
🥇 First Place: "Python Basics"
🥈 Second Place: "Snake: Learn Python for Kids"
🥉 Third Place: "Coding Dino"

- INTERMEDIATE STREAM -
🥇 First Place: "Duo Chef"
🥈 Second Place: "Scholar Ed"
🥉 Third Place: "uHub"

You can check out the winning projects and all the rest that were submitted via our DevPost (https://hyl-2022.devpost.com/project-gallery).

Anyways, that brings us to a complete wrap for HYL's 2022 Hackathon! We hope to see you all again next year!

⭐ We're a day away until the official kick off of this year's Hack Your Learning Hackathon! ⭐

As there isn't much to say, besides we're so very excited to see what this weekend brings, we're gonna take a moment to thank some more folks!

Firstly, we want to give a big thanks to the mentors who volunteered their free time this weekend to help us, AND the participants! They will be spending their time sharing their knowledge and likely learning new things as they work with participants to debug their code or choose the best approach to develop their projects. Without these mentors lending a helping hand, we wouldn't be able to provide as an ideal space for newcomers to the world of coding and hackathons!

Next, we want thank the Judges who are helping us out this weekend. They too are volunteering their own free time to provide their expertise to ensure all participants are fairly scored. They are also providing sincere feedback to help these participants grow as proper developers.

This hackathon truly has been a group effort, and we couldn't have done it without all these helping hands.
