As a start up coach or a coach who has changed their niche and focus, can you relate to this?

To be honest, I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I was struggling with my creativity, confidence, and commitment. I was all over the damn map with ideas!

After several attempts of creating a framework and content, and then second guessing myself, not feeling confident and not being able to break through my fear and limiting beliefs, I began to search for other options.

In that search, I discovered an incredible best solution. What I discovered is the 5-day challenge framework … and it gave me hope and the excitement to try again. So when someone says ‘hope’ is not a strategy … I totally disagree! For me, at that time, and for some of my clients, I believe that rediscovering hope was the very foundation of a strategy … and then you build from there!

The biggest thing standing between me and my dreams was FEAR! Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of rejection, fear of not having something important enough to share with the world, and the most common of all, the fear of not being enough….
What I absolutely love about the 5-day challenge framework is that it is a simple process, and it helps to build your clarity, your confidence, and your competency.

The most valuable thing I learned was to dig deeper to refine my niche, and to chunk the process down step by step to better organize my ideas ... and then how to bring all the components together to create an incredible end result. So simple … yet so powerful.

💥𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙐𝙣𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 & 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 💥

Several years ago, I experienced the loss of my career identity as a strategic planner, working with senior level executives, when the corporate split of a multi-billion organization was put on ‘pause’ due to an economic downturn.

It was the day my whole world flipped upside down. I had been so focused as a high achiever, high-stress, high timeline-driven superstar … who ultimately lost herself and her life to her corporate role that suddenly and unexpectedly ended one day with the economic downturn.😱

I loved what I did … but yet I was near burnout working long hours, missing out on get togethers with friends and family because I was 'always working' … and I certainly wasn’t feeling fulfilled.

❓I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do now ... and what direction to turn. I had completed my MBA while working full-time and had planned to do my PhD in Business, but it no longer felt like the next right step.

🔎Deep within me was a desire for a different career, that offered more meaning, more fulfillment, more impact … something that felt more aligned with what I was born to do … and something that let me know I was making an undeniable impact with my life.

My journey searching for more meaning and impact lead me to become a certified coach.🎯

And here’s where I become very vulnerable ...💞

When I first became a coach, I didn’t know how to get clients and create the impact I wanted. So each month I went deeper into debt and got more discouraged. I registered for more training, thinking it was going to give me the missing pieces … and in the process I became a multi-certified coach, but still struggling because it was only surface level training.

Along the way, I experienced a lot of adversity, including real estate fraud that took over 7 year to resolve, working with the courts to recover money on behalf of over 500 investors. It distracted my from achieving my goals.

But then another unexpected event happened … my mom’s passing ... and it's this major life events that have the most significant impact on us. The loss put me into an extended period of grief. And then within a short period of time, I experienced more grief. It got so bad that it was hard to get out of bed. There was no way I could help others when I struggling to navigate my way through the heavy fog of loss. At times, I thought I was crazy for wanting to still pursue my dreams of changing lives and making an impact. I struggled day to day … and my business struggled even more. I thought of giving up.

And so ... I did what I had been doing for years … I invested in myself to get more training and certifications, about 15 at this point … and then in time, I became a Certified Coach Facilitator/Trainer certifying other coaches to follow their dream. And as much as I loved that, it was still teaching someone elses content. And I was feeling the need to answer my calling to go deeper to work directly with clients to help them launch their business and dig deeper so that they could rise higher to help others know they mattered, that their dreams mattered, that they had something valuable to contribute to this world and that they could create impact doing what they were called to do.

I started a new coaching business, and as a lone wolf, 🐺I struggled to do it all on my own. Eventually, I was faced with a choice … hire a coach for my business, or give up my dream and get a job.

In my search for options, I discovered 5-day challenges and I knew I had to take a leap of faith to invest in myself again and hire a business coach to support me to go deeper to get clarity on attracting ideal clients, creating my own unique signature program, creating social media content and creating irresistible offers. The desire to follow my dreams, achieve goals and create impact was stronger than ever.

Within only a few months my coaching business started to create more momentum and was attracting new clients and getting resigns into both my core program and my premium, higher-ticket coaching program.

And then again adversity hit. And I've realized that all events are neutral ... until we give them meaning. I can make all the events that have happened either hold me back or help me to help other people.

And so I’ve recently invested again at my highest level ever … because my mission is to help 100 clients in the next few months to have clarity to attract clients, create compelling copy and create more impact and income. This journey has been an incredible ride, rising higher from adversity and struggle like the phoenix from the fire … and once again rising higher to having the meaning, mattering and impact that I deeply desired … and now onto creating my own next level of success so I can help clients do the same.

"What is wrong with me? Why can't I get enough paying clients?”

I almost gave up …. with thoughts like this going through my mind when I first started coaching.

As they say, every master was once a disaster. Perhaps you can relate?

The biggest mistake I was making was that I was so passionate about wanting to help people that I wanted help EVERYONE … but unfortunately the truth was that without niching down, I was barely serving anyone!

I struggled to have the clarity I needed to zero in on my ideal client and the high impact problem that I could solve and the results I promised. The essential 3P’s - person, problem, promise are the foundation for every business!

I felt so frustrated … and I realized it was because I was afraid to commit to a niche. But as one of my coaches said, your niche is not a tattoo, you can change your niche. Just try it out and see if you love it. So first I focused on wellness coaching because energy healing had made a huge impact on my life. Then my focus changed to leadership coaching … and then it just naturally evolved and aligned with where I should have been in the first place … business and mindset coaching with a blend of spirituality, psychology and neuroscience. I had been working in business and marketing communications for over 20 years.

Along this journey, I am deeply grateful for my willingness and determination to dive deeper into ... What's my Why? Why is doing this work so important to me. In what area did I want to niche down in? What are my skillsets? How do I refine my expertise? And how do I create a unique signature coaching program?

I was so committed to getting the clarity and guidance I needed to create more meaning in my own life and that of my clients, and to make the impact I desired, I decided to invest in myself, which is always the best investment. And I invested in getting a business coach. As a coach, I believe it’s important that a coach always have a great coach so that they continue to learn and grow and can add more value to their own clients.

Since becoming a certified coach over 7 years ago, I’ve trained with many amazing 6, 7 and 8 figure coaches and marketing experts who have dramatically changed my life and helped me have the clarity on my niche, my messaging, and my high ticket offer. This has helped me to have more impact, more income and more freedom doing what I love most.

And, now this is what I LOVE helping my clients do.
