Preventing & Reversing Alzheimer's Is Possible—Health Uncovered 04/07/2023

Type 3 Alzheimer’s disease is toxic, or vile, and driven by exposure to toxins such as mercury, toluene, or mycotoxins (yes, exposure to some mold can cause Alzheimer’s through toxins made by certain molds such as Stachybotrys and Penicillium).

Since we are exposed to toxins, we all experience this risk to a greater or lesser degree, so the key is to minimize exposure, identify the toxins to which we are exposed, and increase excretion and detoxification of them.

Type 1.5 Alzheimer’s has features of both Type 1 and Type 2: chronic inflammation (type 1) occurs because the glucose actually attaches to many of your proteins causing an inflammatory response.

Reduced trophic support (type 2) occurs because your brain cells become less sensitive to insulin, which is a critical growth factor for them.

The 6 Faces of Alzheimer’s: Understanding The Different Types — Health Uncovered 03/30/2023

Did You Know That There are 6 Types of Alzheimer’s Disease?

Dr. Dale Bredesen has proposed that Alzheimer's disease is not a single disease but rather a spectrum of subtypes that share certain characteristics but have different underlying causes. He has identified six subtypes of Alzheimer's disease, which he calls the "six types". The 6 types are:

• Type 1: Inflammatory
• Type 1.5: Glycotoxic
• Type 2: Atrophic
• Type 3: Toxic
• Type 4: Vascular
• Type 5: Traumatic Alzheimer's

By identifying the specific type of Alzheimer's that a patient has, we can develop a personalized treatment plan that targets the root cause of the disease. Let's spread awareness about the importance of understanding the different types of Alzheimer's and work towards finding a cure.

Is Your Memory Slipping?

Dr. Dale Bredesen's clinical trial using the ReCODE protocol aimed to prevent and reverse Alzheimer's disease. The trial included 100 participants with early Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. The ReCODE protocol involved a personalized treatment plan that included changes to diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and targeted supplements.

After six months on the protocol, 84% of participants showed either sustained improvement or no further decline in cognitive function. The results of this trial suggest that a personalized approach to Alzheimer's treatment can be effective in improving cognitive function and potentially reversing the course of the disease.
