Must Have Wheels

Since the plow truck is just about wrapped up, its time to start on this beautiful .
This truck started as a high trail. I'm not a big fan of the unrealistic sized 2.2" wheel/tires combo that this truck originally came with, so I installed 1.9" canyon trails for now. Eventually I will install the class 1 BFG KO's from proline.
The most controversial thing i did to this truck is deleted the portals with a straight axle kit from . I really wanted a super scale look for this build so they had to go.
The interior is almost ready for assembly. BUT I have a lot of work ahead of me removing the paint from the windows first 😮‍💨. Once thats done I'll be custom making a lighting kit because I refuse to pay traxxas pricing for their kit.

Here is my trx4 snow plow build. This build was a lot of fun!

It started off as a ... I lowered it down a bit and swapped the monster 2.2" tires for something a bit more scale. I printed some scale interior for it and installed the 04 air unit lite.

Now I'm able to plow the driveway from the comfort of my warm living room!. It takes 3x longer than it should, but its so worth it!!

We pulled my son to our local Santa clause parade with the axial scx6. Drove him right next to Santa so he could say hello. He had a blast in that wagon. So did everyone else who saw him riding around on Saturday!

While my account has been inactive for a while, I've still been active in the hobby. Buying, selling, trading. I've been working on some projects and even building up my hotwheels collection.

Project Junkyard is struggling to make gains. It's currently geared for 130+ mph. That's taking into consideration the expected voltage drop and load one could expect during a speed run. I think it's time to retire this spektrum 1250kv motor and complete the castle system in this car.

Project Junkyard was out for a shake down run this morning. This car was built entirely with spare parts from my parts bin with the exception of the body and esc. The Spektrum 1250kv motor I'm using isn't responding as well to gearing as I'd like. But I'm going to throw more gearing at it and try to beat my current PB of 116mph.
