As June comes to a close, I've been thinking about how much our kitchens change with the seasons.

A few months ago, I was reaching for warm soups and roasted vegetables. Now I'm craving crisp salads, juicy fruit, smoothies, and meals that don't keep me standing over a hot stove.

I think one of the joys of seasonal eating is giving ourselves permission to change right along with the weather. We don't cook the same way all year long.

As we head into July, we're going to be talking about simple meals, cool kitchens, and what to eat when it's simply too hot to cook.
