I decided to keep this pretty little wicker bathroom shelf but it was white (aren't they always 🤷‍♀️). A couple months ago, I was staging a house with and the seller had the exact same piece, but it was black!! 🤯 Mind blown!!

So in a fit of needing something to do, I spent 2 days carefully painting it in my favourite fusion colour.

Coal Black may be a small obsession of mine.

This pretty lady was in some rough shape when I picked her up - the caning was loose, and she had a terrible finish on her.
Then, when I fixed her caning and was looking for a colour, I couldn't find one! I tried green, mustard, even black and nothing felt right until I was in the shop today and my eyes fell on this beautiful muted pink by Fusion called Damask. I instantly knew this was her colour.

She is finally ready for her place in a new home as a desk chair, occasional chair, entry chair for those with small entry ways, whatever!!

I've been in my new house for 2.5 months already, and I refuse to spend any time in the garage as we still have boxes and boxes and boxes to go through. But the majority of what we use regularly has made its way inside.

Today I realized that the feel of our bedroom was *slightly* off, and decided to flip it all around. It feels much better, while I know there's still a lot of work to do.

Oh, and part of the reasoning to move everything around was also that our 1 year old ball python has escaped and is *somewhere*. Places we know he isn't- his terrarium, our bedroom. 😬 The dogs don't seem to be bothered by this, so we're hopeful!

Anyway, here is my literal corner of our room. The only part that's *done*. Does anyone else get restless in January??
