A quick clip from our most recent RAD Human Movement: Level 1 – Movement Foundations workshop.

Half kneeling gave us a simple way to explore a bigger idea…what we see isn’t always what’s driving the outcome.

At first look, the anti-rotation hold works, but it’s being held together with a pelvic twist and anterior tilt…a solution…but not a clean one.

So we changed the constraint.

We tried abdominal bracing to lock in the core…but the system lost options…and stability dropped.

Then we shifted attention to something more fundamental…ground support.

No extra cueing.
No chasing muscles.

Just a better connection to the floor.

Same person. Same position. But now…
✔️ stable
✔️ organized
✔️ no compensation

This is a big part of what we explore in the Level 1 course…learning to see how the system solves problems, and how small changes in constraints can completely reshape the outcome.

Appreciate everyone who came out and contributed to a great workshop this past weekend…and huge thank to for hosting!

More to come.

Some people are the backbone of a community and never ask for recognition.

Through the Simcoe County Mountain Bike Club and throughout the local community, I’ve watched a good friend and his family give their time, energy, and care to the people around them. Whether it’s showing up for trail days, supporting local initiatives, or simply being the kind of people others can rely on, their contribution extends well past the club itself.

Right now, their family is going through a difficult chapter, and it feels important to give back in a tangible way.

For 2026, I’ll be donating 10% of all SCMBC member billings from my practices at Rocca Athletic Development in Horseshoe Valley and Strive Sport & Exercise Medicine in Barrie directly to his family, alongside the club’s GoFundMe efforts.

There’s no sign-up and no expectation—if you’re part of the club and cross paths with me as a patient, that’s enough.

Communities work because people look out for one another. I’m grateful to be able to do my small part.
