Feeling overwhelmed with school? You’re not alone 🤍
Stress during studying is so common, but the way you approach it can make a huge difference. Here’s how each of these habits can actually support your mental health:
• Create a study schedule
Having a plan reduces uncertainty and helps your brain feel more in control. Break big tasks into smaller chunks and spread them out so you’re not cramming everything at once.
• Avoid procrastination
Procrastination often comes from feeling overwhelmed, not lazy. Start with just 5–10 minutes of work to build momentum. Once you begin, it’s much easier to keep going.
• Maintain a consistent sleep schedule
Sleep is essential for memory, focus, and emotional regulation. Going to bed and waking up at similar times helps your brain recover and actually improves how much you retain.
• Take breaks
Your brain isn’t meant to focus for hours straight. Short breaks help prevent burnout and improve concentration. Even stepping away for a few minutes can reset your energy.
• Study with a friend
Studying with someone else can keep you accountable, make learning more engaging, and reduce feelings of isolation. It can also help you understand material in new ways.
You don’t need to do everything perfectly. Start small, be consistent, and give yourself grace along the way 🤍
