A few weeks back I was contacted by a nice young man from our community named Benji, he explained to me that he goes to ACS (Abbotsford Christian school), is in grade 8 and doing a research project.
His teacher allowed the class to pick a community topic that touched their hearts and guess what Benji chose…
HOMELESSNESS…. ❤️
Benji, his parents and I met to discuss GZM-who we are and what we do so Benji could draft up a report on the community challenges around homelessness and the problem addicts face and what the solution is.
After the meeting I asked Benji (with his parents) if he would like to join us on an outreach so they can get the experience of serve our vulnerable community members too… and we had a blast 🙌🤗
It was a real eye opener for our 3 guests as the plates of meals went out, the goodie bags created at the back of the van, and hearts and souls touched as we encouraged people along the way.
I’m happy to report that there were zero incidents and just happy-heart warming memories made, with hopefully many more to come.
Thank you Benji, mom and Dad for joining our team ❤️

April 23 2026
I picked a guy up today from the ferry in tsawassen as he had a bed lined up in a treatment centre in maple ridge.
As we drove to the centre, he told me about his life and how he was homeless for some time and burnt all his bridges and was “just done”…. He got emotional when he told me about his 13 year old son that was watching his every move and he was scared that his son will end up in his shoes in no time so he wants to be a better example and fight for his son and show him what sobriety is like.
We made it to the facility and he was so happy that he has another opportunity to make things right in his life, and rebuild the relationships he’s destroyed.
Please pray for this man, that the Lord will get ahold of his heart and heal the things that are causing him to escape reality. There is hope, there is freedom, and a “good life waiting” ❤️❤️❤️
This is the positive news I have to share.
The sad news is have to share- we’ve lost 2 more unhoused friends this week in Abby. 2 more men won’t see their kids again, 2 more families lost a son. 😢😭💔
If you know anyone OR are struggling with addiction that needs some help getting into treatment fast-please give us a call, we are happy to help people jump through the hoops and if we can’t help-we know lots of people that can and we will make the connections.
We care 🫶🏼❤️
